COPE International

The site is dedicated to Dr. T.S. Saini from Bloomsburg University, first President of COPE, whose enthusiasm and incredible energy led up to creating our organization. He visited dozens of countries and talked to hundreds scientists, politicians and trade union members looking for concept of its activity. Those collected experiences resulted in establishing Congress of Political Economists, International, that was formally registered in Pennsylvania in 1988. Basic principles of COPE activity are: personal freedom, human equality and economic justice. Dr. Saini managed popularize our organization very quickly and it reached high position and international prestige. He could easily enlist the support of people, and he was good organizer also. He started editing journal "Journal of Economic Democracy". His presidency was suddenly stopped by his passing away in 1994, two months after conference in Australia. He become unrivalled model for all presidents of COPE.
